Quake may have made Earth wobble

I was following some of the reports on CNN about the magnitude 9.0 earthquake that occurred off the northwestern tip of the Indonesian island of Sumatra this past Sunday, December 26th. It caused tsunamis that slammed into the coastlines of several countries.

In this article on CNN, Richard Gross, a geophysicist with NASA, has theorized that the effect of one huge tectonic plate sliding below another underneath the Indian Ocean could cause the earth to spin faster.
